Lauren Caramenico Head Coach

I started swimming at 6 years old for the Denver Sharks Summer Swim Team where I swam until I was 18. I also swam for the Reading YMCA Sting Rays in the winter and Lancaster Catholic High School all 4 years. I came back to swimming in the early 2000’s as a parent where I tried every job at least once :) and then held a position on the parent board for a number of years. In 2016, I was an Assistant Coach for the New Holland Dolphins Summer Swim Team, and also was an Assistant Coach for the New Holland Aquatic Club in the winter. After a few years, I then joined the coaching staff of Five Star Swim Club in 2019 where I am still currently a coach. In 2024. I joined the Conestoga Valley Summer Swim Team coaching staff as an assistant coach and this year will be my second year as CV Head Coach.

I am married to Stephen and together we have 3 children, all who have swam summer and winter seasons from a young age and up. Lancaster County Summer Swimming has been a part of my life for over 40 years. I love to be on deck and am looking forward to another great season!

I have been active in swimming since I was little and got my start at Woodridge Swim Club when I was 5, swimming with them for 13 years. I was a team High Point Scorer 2 times and hold the pool record for the 13-14 Boys 200 Free Relay here at Leola. I also swam with Five Star Swim Club for 10 years, helping set 3 team records, and for Warwick High School for 4 years. I was co-captain for Warwick my senior year and was honored as a Swimming Academic All-American.

Even when not swimming, I have struggled to not find myself at the pool, as I lifeguarded for 2 years at Woodridge before transitioning to Bent Creek where I have been guarding for 3 years now.

Currently, I am studying landscape architecture and geographic information sciences at Penn State main campus and am a rising 2nd-year undergrad. I am the Social Chair-elect of the Landscape Architecture Student Society and received placement on the Dean’s List.

In my free time you can usually catch me practicing guitar, playing historical/strategy video games, grilling, hanging out with friends or my dog Cannon, and/or napping for too long.

I can’t wait to get to know everyone poolside this summer!

Ethan Lloyd Assistant Coach

I just finished my freshman year at Salisbury University, where I am a member of the nationally ranked swim team. I have been swimming for 13 years now, participating in the Lancaster Summer Swim League each year! In the winters,I have swam for New Holland Aquatic Club, Five Star Swim Club, and for the Reading YMCA. Swimming is something that I am passionate about, from training to competing. While Summer Swimming is competitive, I also love the fun aspects of it and the diversity of ages and swimming abilities. As I step into this coaching role, I look forward to working with all swimmers on growing their skills and having fun while doing it!

Isabelle Caramenico Assistant Coach

I began swimming for the East Cocalico Dolphins Summer Swim Team when I was 5 years old, and swam for them for countless years before moving to the New Holland Dolphins when I was 9. I also swam for the New Hollan Aquatic Club winter and spring teams, and for my High School Swim Team. In 2022 I started my undergraduate degree in English at Allegheny College, and as of May 2026 I have graduated with my Bachelors Degree! I will be continuing my education at Bowling Green State University this fall.

I have always had a love for swimming, and am very excited to return to the pool this summer (but don’t ask me to swim more than a 50, it might take up the whole practice time)!
